We are hiring experienced Pipefitters to support the T-ATS (Towing, Salvage, and Rescue Ship) program, a U.S. Navy new construction project at a leading shipyard. This is a long-term opportunity supporting multiple vessels in production.
Position Overview:
Pipefitters will perform layout, fabrication, installation, testing, and repair of piping systems in a shipyard new construction environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years of carbon pipefitting experience
- Must be able to pass a hands-on pipefitter test
- Ability to bevel pipe using a grinder with a sanding disc
- Ability to cut and saddle pipe of the same size at a 90-degree angle
- Must be able to perform silver brazing of socket joint pipe in:
- Horizontal position (flat and horizontal flow)
- Vertical position (vertical up flow)
- In accordance with ASME requirements
- Shipyard or new construction experience preferred
- Must be able to work in physically demanding conditions (heights, confined spaces, outdoor environment)
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Overtime and weekends may be required
Pay:
- $26–$28/hour (based on experience
