We have an exciting opportunity for a Survey Technician in Virginia Beach!
Job Duties entail but are not limited to:
- Responsible for preparation of survey plats and maps including boundary surveys, as-built surveys, topographic surveys, utility route surveys, etc. while meeting the requirements of various agencies (e.g. VDOT, USACE, NAVFAC)
- Work assignments may vary depending on the office’s needs and will be communicated to the applicant by the office manager
- Responsibilities will also include individual project management, courthouse research, processing of data collected by survey crews, preparation of CAD files, construction staking calculations, and occasional field work
- Able to work with minimal supervision to complete projects with demanding scopes and schedules
Qualifications:
- DBIDS Eligible
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of surveying related experience
- Satisfactory completion of a Survey / CAD related degree from an accredited college, vocational/technical school or military training may be substituted for two years of the required experience
- Must be proficient using Carlson, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and experience using MicroStation with GeoPak and/or OpenRoads
- Travel required
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday. 6am-5pm Must be flexible to work varying hours and days as needed
Pay:
- $25-$35/hour based on experience
