Looking for welders with 4+ yrs of commercial/naval experience as a first class Welder, Multi-pass in Newport News, Virginia!
Requirements:
- Complete all position fillet and butt welds using the following processes:
- SMAW, GMAW, FCAW and GMAW-P.
- Heating - Oxygen/Propane Heating Torch
- Air Carbon Arc Gouging
- Ability to properly use fillet and butt weld gauges.
Welding Qualifications:
- Welders will be required to pass all positions:
- Multi-pass Butt Weld,
- All position (Horizontal (2G), Vertical (3G), and Overhead (4G)) SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) process
- All position (Horizontal (2G), Vertical (3G), and Overhead (4G)) FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding) process
- Horizontal (2G) position GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) process
- Visual Inspection of Welds Level I (4 hours)
- Air Carbon Arc Gouging Proficiency Test (1 hour)
- Must be able to climb up and down vertical ladders, bend, squat, kneel, work in confined spaces & around moving equipment and any other tasks assigned by supervisor.
