We have an exciting opportunity for Shipwright at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine for with one of our Clients in the Ship Repair Industry!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must have a minimum of 5-7 years of Shipwright experience
- Must have security clearance
- Perform structural repairs and modifications on a variety of military vessels
- Read and interpret ship drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Measure, cut, shape, and fit materials such as wood, fiberglass, and metal.
- Conduct inspections and assessments of hulls, decks, bulkheads, and other ship components.
- Install and repair shipboard structures including berthing, bulkheads, decking, hatches, and ladders.
- Collaborate with engineers, welders, pipefitters, and other trades to ensure quality and timely project completion.
- Follow all safety protocols and security guidelines in accordance with facility and federal standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and modifications performed.
HOURS:
All Shift, could work 8, 10 or 12 hours per shift depending on demand
PAY:
Pay starts at $30/hour
