Job Overview
The Programmer is responsible for creating and defining information and drawings that interpret customer needs to enable employees to consistently and efficiently produce customer specified parts.
Role and responsibilities:
- Read and interpret drawings and information supplied by the customer
- Interacts with customer representatives either in person, on the phone or via email
- Identifies and requests missing or unclear information
- Utilize company supplied software to draw, update or correct customer supplied drawings and or information
- Utilize company supplied software to draw, update or correct estimator supplied drawings and or information
- Interpret and decide if customer drawing provides enough information to make a specific part before adding additional information
- Source materials, hardware and services when necessary
- Interact with the Customer Sales Manager for incoming jobs and drawings
- Participate in customer and drawing review for manufacturability and feasibility
- Interact with Operations to ensure profitability and capability for customer and estimator requests
- Identify and make recommendations for improvement
- Navigate and update trackers and or reports
- Upload all files to the proper location in shared drive
- Create and maintain good relationships with specific customer contacts
Requirements:
- College or formal training in related field strongly preferred but not required
- Minimum 3 years in a related role of reading prints and drawings
- Excellent organizational skills
- Advanced communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
Schedule:
- Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm
