We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator for our client in Norfolk, VA. The ideal candidate will have experience setting up and operating press brake machines to bend, shape, and fabricate metal components according to precise specifications. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, cut, and shape metal components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Adjust machine settings, including back gauge, ram depth, and tooling selection.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment by following company safety policies
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience operating press brake machines
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Strong mechanical skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of metal fabrication processes and materials.
- Basic understanding of CNC programming is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
