We have an exciting opportunity for a local/Nonlocal Pipe Welder position in Newport News, VA with one of our Clients in the Ship Repair Industry.
Qualifications
- Multi-pass. All position fillet and butt welds using the SMAW (Shielded metal arc) process
- Ability to fuse inserts and weld carbon steel, stainless steel and copper nickel pipe using the SMAW and GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) processes
- Mirror welding using SMAW and GTAW
- Use fillet gauges, butt gauges, and a six-inch scale
- Heating oxygen/propane heating
- Ability to fuse inserts and weld carbon steel, stainless steel and copper nickel pipe
- Must be able to pass hair follicle drug test
Hours:
- Must be open to all 3 shifts
Pay:
- $50 Hr
- $135 Per diem if you qualify
