Integrity Staffing is pleased to announce an exciting job opportunity for a Pipe Craft Manager in Jacksonville, Florida! 
Pipe Craft Manager Responsibilities:This position is responsible for providing maritime pipefitting expertise for the US Navy, US Coast Guard, Military Sealift Command, and commercial vessels. They must be able to complete and execute the assigned work tasks following regulatory specifications assigned to the vessel. 
  • The Pipe Manager will report to the Production Manager and work closely with the Production and Project Management departments.
  • Must be able to effectively manage small teams within your discipline and /or subcontractors
  • Must demonstrate understanding and follow lock out/ tag out procedures
  • Must demonstrate understanding and follow Work Authorization (WAF) process.
  • Must demonstrate understanding and follow all Hot Work Procedures
  • Must demonstrate understanding how to assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications, by welding, brazing, cementing, and threading joints, how to attach pipes to walls, structures, and fixtures, using brackets, clamps, or welding equipment.
  • Inspects, examines, and tests installed systems and pipelines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.
  • Lays out full scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment, following blueprints.
  • Measures and marks pipes for cutting and threading
  • Modifies, cleans, and maintains pipe systems, units, fittings, and related machines and equipment, following specifications and using hand and power tools.
  • Must understand how to bend pipes using hand benders and similar devices to manipulate pipe.
  • Plans pipe system layout, installation, or repairs according to specifications.
  • Selects pipe sizes and types and related materials, such as supports, hangers 
  • Ensure that all information suits shipyard fabrication methods and tools.
 Skills and Requirements: 
  • Applicants with 10+ years of pipefitting experience preferred. 
  • Must have 2+ years in a manager role.
  • Must have Highschool Diploma or equivalent.
  • Applicants with an Associate degree or higher in a management field preferred.
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office Suites computer skills (including but not limited to Excel, Outlook, Teams and Word.).
  • Must have strong typing skills and the ability to quickly navigate all company required computer programs, and applications.
  • Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping on the jobsite and in the shop.
  • Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must have strong skills in maintaining time keeping for yourself and team members.
  • Must have strong skills in maintaining a budget as presented by Project Managers.
  • Must have the ability to provide training on all company and pipe specific policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Must have the ability to understand team member contribution and provide promotions or disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Must have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations.
  • Must have ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be able to check piping related equipment, piping arrangements, spool drawings, pumps, motors, and valves.
  • Must have strong knowledge in both the Imperial (English) and Metric system.
  • Must be U.S. Citizen.
  • Must obtain and/or maintain a passport for travel.
  • Candidates must be able to pass a qualification test prior to being considered for hire.
  • Must have a working knowledge of the Naval Sea Systems (NAVSEA) Standard Items.
  • Working knowledge of local NAVSEA Standard Items, specifically Southeast Regional Maintenance Center (SERMC) & Forward Deployed Regional Maintenance Center (FDRMC) Naples and FDRMC Bahrain are a plus.
  • Must have knowledge of ABS and USCG Rules and regulations.
  • Ensure all details are based on Good Maritime Practices
 Physical Requirements for Essential Functions: 
  • Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to work at heights, and in confined spaces.
  • Must Pass the Ishihara test for color blindness.
  • Must Pass a pulmonary function exam for positions requiring respiratory protection.
  • Able to lift tools up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces as small as 15"x23".
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, kneel, squat, walk, sit, or stoop. Full range of motion.
  • Ability to work outside, if necessary, with exposure to outside elements, e.g. heat or cold.
  • Must have correctable vision to 20/40.
 Work Demands: 
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), e.g. hardhat, face shield, safety goggles, steel toe safety shoes, respirator as determined by employer Job Hazard analysis.
  • Employees must report all accidents and injuries to supervisors and the Environmental Safety and Health Department.
  • Employees need to work at a pace consistent to meet company deadlines.
