We have an exciting opportunity Brush and Roll Painters within their coatings department working in Norfolk,VA with one of our Clients in the Ship Repair Industry.
Job Description:
- Must also know how to set-up jobs and spraying equipment
- Must know how to measure and record DFT and environmental readings
- Must be proficient in brush and rolling painting, general house cleaning, or knowledge of all pumping (gas free) procedures
- Should be able to troubleshoot equipment to ensure the job progresses
- Must be proficient in the requirements of NAVSEA 009-32 standard item
- Must have knowledge concerning paint induction times and also have some knowledge of spray painting
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Must have knowledge of mixing and application of epoxy and enamel paints
- Must know how to use power tools associated with surface preparation and paint removal
- Must be SSPC certified in preservation in one of the following: (C7, C12, C13, or C14) or Coast Guard certified in pumping.
- May have two or more of the following SSPC certifications: C7, C12, C13, or C14
Hours:
- 1st Shift 6AM – 245PM
- 2nd Shift 3PM – 11PM
