We have a wonderful opportunity for packaging operators in Winchester, VA with a local manufacturer.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have 2 years of manufacturing experience
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Will set up, operate, and monitor automated packaging equipment to ensure products are accurately filled, sealed, labeled, and packaged according to production schedules. You will adjust machine settings for speed, weight, and material handling as needed to maintain efficiency and reduce waste. You may also identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical or operational issues to minimize downtime and keep the line running smoothly.
- Will conduct regular quality checks throughout the shift to confirm that products meet company and customers standards. Will inspect packaging materials (such as bags, cartons, or labels) for defects, contamination, or incorrect printing. You will also correct product codes, lot numbers and weights, and ensure all finished goods are packaged neatly and securely before shipment.
- Will maintain cleanliness and sanitation in work areas, equipment, and packaging lines in compliance with food safety and good manufacturing practices. Will perform routine cleaning during and after shifts to prevent cross-contamination and maintain a safe, organized work environment. Assist in deep cleaning or line changeover sanitation when required.
HOURS:
- Day and Night shifts available. 6am to 6:30pm or 6pm to 6:30am
- Is on a 2-2-3 schedule
