We have a wonderful opportunity for Metalwork Painters in Harpers Ferry, WV for a government contractor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have prior hands-on experience painting metal surfaces, especially steel, not just walls or wood.
- Must be comfortable using spray guns and related equipment and know how to get an even, professional finish.
- This job is performed outside and sometimes in cold temperatures. Candidates must be able to work safely and consistently in these conditions.
- Candidates must show up on time, pay close attention to quality, be reliable, and follow safety rules at all times.
- Candidates must be able to take instructions well, but also step up to guide others or take charge of tasks when required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Will spray-apply coatings to metal guardrails, handrails, and fabricated steel components
- Will prepare surfaces according to manufacturer specs and project standards
- Will ensure proper use, maintenance, and cleanup of spray-painting equipment
- Will assist with or lead on-site operations as needed
- Must follow strict safety and cleanliness standards required on government job sites.
- Will help get the job site ready at the start and ensure everything is cleaned up properly at the end.
HOURS:
- 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday, Contract based assignment lasting approximately 2-4 weeks per contract.
PAY:
- Pay ranges from $22.67 to $27.50 an hour depending on experience
