We are seeking a highly skilled 1st Class Marine HVAC Technician with extensive experience in shipboard HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in troubleshooting, repair, and installation of complex HVAC units aboard marine vessels. This role requires strong electrical and control systems knowledge, leadership ability, and a commitment to safety and accuracy.
Required Qualifications:
- EPA Universal Certification (Required within 90 days of hire)
- OSHA 10 Maritime Certification and/or VSRA Certification
- Advanced understanding of HVAC system schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Strong skills in electrical diagnostics and system controls
- Ability to obtain DBIDS and TWIC credentials
- Clean driving record
- At least 5 years of hands-on marine HVAC experience
- Proficiency in troubleshooting HVAC electrical controls
Core Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and install marine HVAC systems aboard ships
- Interpret and apply technical schematics, manuals, and drawings
- Lead and mentor junior HVAC technicians
- Complete service reports, work logs, and related documentation accurately and timely
- Adhere to safety standards and shipyard compliance procedures
Physical and Work Requirements:
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined or elevated spaces
- Comfortable working in shipyard and onboard environments
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented

- Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:45pm (8 hour shifts with the possibility for overtime)
