4+ years commercial/naval experience as a First Class Machinist
- Will be working on various mechanical equipment on and off ship
- Install, removal, replacement, and repair of various mechanical equipment on naval vessels
- Ability to comprehend complex drawings, blueprint, diagrams, and sketches
- Operate cargo crane, portable, milling/drill machine, centrifugal pump, watertight compartment
- Must be able to climb up and down vertical ladders
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, and work in confined spaces and around moving equipment
