Job Description

We have an immediate need for a Print Production Specialist with our client in Richmond. This role will be working directly with customer service and production teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of print production functions. 
 
Accountable for but not limited to:
  • Converting digital artwork for our proprietary digital press utilizing scripts, in-house procedures, and prior pre-press knowledge
  • Producing digital art work proofs for internal and external customers, including digitizing and vectorization of artwork when required
  • Maintaining all artwork databases while adhering to established naming and filing conventions
  • Ordering, receiving, and cataloging all new and reordered flexographic plates
  • Assisting inventory team with maintaining and managing plate storage
  • Developing, laying out, and revising label artwork for finished product rolls 
  • Preparing, printing, and correlating all skid tags, proofs, and production orders for production team
  • Cultivating new color books, formulations, and procedures when presented with new substrates, inks, and workflow issues 
  • Addressing after-hour issues from production team relating to artwork, labels, and plates 
  • Advocating for cross functional collaboration between production, customer service, and QC teams, ensuring quality and pre-press standards are executed and maintained for all projects

  • Attention to detail - able to review orders, identify and correct issues, and check and recheck to ensure quality output

  • Understanding of 4 color process and spot colors, layout, typography, and flexographic plate making
  • Demonstrated experience with Adobe Creative Cloud 2017, proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe InDesign
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload
  • Desire for continuous process improvement, personal growth, and development of leadership skills
Preferred but not required: 
  • SQL experience 
  • SAP Business One experience 
Experience:
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • High School degree or equivalent and associate level degree 
Pay:
  • $23-$28/hour
Schedule:
  • Monday-Friday 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm
