Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced JennerJahn Machine Operator to join our clients production team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining JennerJahn rewinding/converting equipment to ensure efficient production of high-quality finished materials. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues quickly. Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup & Operation
- Set up and calibrate JennerJahn equipment according to job specifications and production requirements.
- Operate and monitor the machine to ensure efficient, accurate, and continuous production.
- Adjust machine settings such as tension, alignment, and speed to maintain quality and meet production goals.
- Quality Control
- Perform regular inspections of finished rolls and materials to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Monitor consistency, alignment, and material accuracy; make adjustments as needed.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and correct issues during production to minimize waste and maintain quality.
- Equipment Maintenance
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep equipment in optimal working condition.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform minor repairs to reduce downtime.
- Collaborate with maintenance technicians for major repairs or scheduled maintenance.
- Material Handling
- Load and unload paper or film rolls onto the JennerJahn machine.
- Ensure proper alignment, tracking, and feeding of materials throughout production.
- Manage material changes, splicing, roll handling, and scrap removal.
- Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety procedures, machine-operation protocols, and PPE guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to support a safe and efficient environment.
- Adhere to all regulatory and company standards related to machine operation and production.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of job specifications, adjustments, downtime, and production counts.
- Complete shift reports, quality logs, and maintenance documentation as required.
Requirements:
- Experience
- Previous experience as a JennerJahn Operator, Press Operator, or Machine Operator in a manufacturing or printing environment.
- Technical Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve machine issues.
- Ability to understand and follow production orders, schematics, and specifications.
- Attention to Detail
- Ability to spot quality issues and ensure material consistency throughout production runs.
- Communication Skills
- Strong communication abilities to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy materials, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks.
