Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled MIG/TIG Welder to join our client in Austin, Texas. The ideal candidate will have experience welding various metals, including stainless steel, while ensuring precision, strength, and quality. Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metals according to blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Set up welding equipment and select appropriate filler materials.
- Ensure welds meet quality standards and perform inspections for defects.
- Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, grinders, and press brakes as needed.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and work orders.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate with the fabrication team to complete projects on time.
- Troubleshoot and repair welds as necessary.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of MIG/TIG welding experience in a fabrication shop or similar setting.
- Proficiency in welding steel and stainless steel.
- Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
- Experience using grinders, saws, and other metalworking tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality welds.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various positions.
- Welding certification(s) preferred but not required.
