Job Description

Position Overview
Integrity Staffing Services is seeking experienced Supervisors to oversee Roving Firewatch teams at Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY). Supervisors will ensure compliance with Navy, OSHA, and site-specific safety requirements while managing day-to-day activities of assigned Firewatch associates. This role requires strong leadership, communication skills, and the ability to operate in a high-security, industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily assignments for Firewatch teams.
  • Monitor compliance with NNSY Firewatch and safety protocols.
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings and ensure proper coverage across all designated work areas.
  • Maintain accurate shift logs, inspection reports, and incident documentation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Firewatch teams, Integrity Staffing Services, and AIT/NNSY leadership.
  • Enforce DBIDS and Yellow Badge access requirements and ensure associates remain compliant.
  • Support onboarding and training compliance, including SMART and Friday safety training requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, escalate safety concerns, and ensure proper corrective actions are taken.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members to maintain readiness and morale.
Qualifications
  • Prior supervisory experience in an industrial, shipyard, or military environment (Firewatch or safety supervision preferred).
  • Active or ability to obtain DBIDS access and Yellow Badge.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and shipyard safety procedures.
  • Ability to lead a team in a high-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and reporting skills.
  • Must be able to work any assigned shift (days, nights, weekends, or holidays as required).
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract requirements.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to climb ladders, navigate shipyard environments, and work in confined spaces when required.
  • Must be able to wear all required PPE.
Compensation & Schedule:
  • Full-Time, Monday–Friday:
    • 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
    • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
    • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Part-Time, Saturday–Sunday:
    • 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
    • 2nd Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
