We have an exciting opportunity for an Estimator in Norfolk! Job Duties entail but are not limited to:
Prepare competitive fixed price quotations (both labor and material), for maritime ship repair/refit and industrial repair/refit.
Determine work procedures, crew size, machines/tooling, sub-contractors, material, and accessories required to accomplish work at a competitive price and acceptable margins.
Coordinate with staff and trades as needed to gather information and process requirements for the accomplishment of work.
Conduct ship-checks / site-checks as required to properly scope work.
Obtain accurate bill of material (BOM) quotations in a timely manner.
Maintain relationships with industry suppliers, vendors, and clients.
Maintain and update the contract pipeline in coordination with Management.
Build estimates and quotes using approved corporate policies.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma and/or some college or technical training preferred
5-10 years of experience in estimating and planning
