Our client in Virginia Beach, VA is looking for Commercial Electricians. You will be joining a team at a quickly growing company that has tremendous job opportunity in an Industrial setting.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- 4+ years commercial electrical experience preferred
- Work 40 hour work week, overtime as required
- Some experience diagnosing mechanical problems involving air-conditioning or refrigeration equipment, manufacturing equipment and tools.
- Bend Conduits using hand benders, mechanical benders or hydraulic benders Knowledge of the use of power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, knock punches and any tools associated with the electrical industry.
- Operate two handed tools/equipment, cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers and any other tools associated with the electrical industry.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Install new or modified electrical installations consistent with local and national codes.
- Plan electrical installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring
- Follow diagrams, blueprints and interrupt specifications
- Application and knowledge of journeyman electrician level skills in the installation and repair of electrical systems and associated activities which may include the application of some mechanical knowledge to diagnose repair needs for air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment, or other equipment as necessary.
- Perform any and all work tasks and comply with any work schedules, attendance or duty requirements which may be established by City or Department Rules.
- Perform related work as assigned or specified in project drawings, customer specification or project requirement.
- Manage the cleanliness and organization of the Electrical Shop and main facility
- Some Travel to job sites when needed
- Maintain all work sites clean and in order
- Demonstrate safe work habits and proper care of equipment and tools
- Complete all required paperwork
- Work from all types of step ladders, frame ladders and all size extension ladders.
- Adhere to all safe work procedures
- Attend educational and training classes when required
Hours:
- Day Shift: Monday – Friday 8AM until 430PM
- Night Shift: Monday – Thursday 5PM – 330AM
Pay:
- Day Shift: $20-28/Hour
- Night Shift: $23-32.20/Hour
