Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Crawlspace Encapsulation Technician to assist our client with moisture control and structural protection projects. The role involves installing vapor barriers, sealing crawlspaces, and performing related tasks to improve energy efficiency, indoor air quality, and long-term building integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare crawlspaces for encapsulation by clearing debris and ensuring a safe working area.
- Install vapor barriers to floors, walls, and piers according to specifications.
- Properly overlap and seal all vapor barrier seams.
- Seal crawlspace vents and access points as directed.
- Assist with installation of dehumidifiers or other moisture control equipment when required.
- Identify and report signs of moisture intrusion, mold, pests, or structural concerns.
- Operate tools and equipment safely and maintain them in good condition.
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- Must have at least one year of experience with pest control or crawl space encapsulation
- Must have reliable transportation as you will be required to drive to different job sites
- Prior experience with crawlspace encapsulation, vapor barrier installation, or related construction work is preferred.
- Ability to work in confined spaces with varying conditions (low clearance, humidity, dust).
- Understanding of moisture control principles and building materials is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks in tight spaces.
Work Conditions:
- Work is performed in enclosed crawlspaces, which may involve kneeling, bending, and crawling for extended periods.
- Exposure to dust, moisture, and varying temperatures.
- PPE (coveralls, gloves, respirator, knee pads, etc.) will be required.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm
Pay:
- $18-25/hour based on experience
