We have an exciting new opportunity for a Maintenance Technician in Norfolk Virginia!
Qualifications:
- Must have EPA Section 608 Certification – for handling HVAC refrigerants (if doing HVAC repairs).
- Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in residential maintenance, including plumbing and minor electrical work.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and ability to perform minor repairs.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor with residents and team members.
Job Duties entail but are not limited to:
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance tasks for residential properties.
- Conduct minor HVAC repairs.
- Handle plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, water heaters, and minor pipe work.
- Perform minor electrical work, such as replacing outlets, switches, and light fixtures.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and building codes.
- Assist with seasonal property maintenance and special projects as needed.
- Paint and make minor sheetrock repairs.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
- Must be flexible to work weekends where needed
Pay:
- $20-$28 per hour based on experience
