We have an exciting opportunity for a CNC Machine Operator position in Newport News Virginia!
Job Duties entail but are not limited to:
- Use CNC or manual machines to punch, shear, or bend flat bar or sheet metal
- Use CNC machine or hand tools to insert hardware
- Set up, clean and maintain tooling
- Check parts produced for dimensional accuracy
- Produce the maximum number of parts in minimum time by working efficiently
- Material handling, using forklift and pallet jack, and by hand, preparing work area for next job
- Count and stack finished parts
- Deburr parts
- Monitor quality during production
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in CNC machine operation is required, preferably in sheet metal or machine shop
- Have experience setting up and operating CNC manufacturing equipment
- Be able to read basic blueprints preferred, not required
- Be able to use calipers and other precision measuring tools preferred, not required
- Be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Be able to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, squat, reach and perform repetitive hand and finger movements
- Be able to work in cold or hot temperatures in plant
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday
- 12am-8:30am or 7am-3:30pm
Pay:
- $15-$18/hour based on experience
