We are looking for an AMPP Certified Blaster to meticulously grind, polish, and handle metal components to ensure they meet the highest standards of customer satisfaction. You play a pivotal role as the final touchpoint before delivery, ensuring that each part meets or exceeds customer expectations. Mastery of all tools and abrasives is crucial, as you will be required to operate them proficiently to achieve the desired finish. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality are essential in ensuring that the finished product reflects the excellence expected by our customers.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrate our Core Values of Safety First, Accountability, Good to Great, and All in
- Follow all work instructions given by the Supervisor, Lead and Coordinators
- Perform all work in a safe manner and in accordance to our clients safety policies and procedures
- Prepare surfaces for painting or other finishing work
- Operate a sandblasting machine to clean, strip, or finish surfaces
- Adjust pressure and flow of sandblasting material, and move nozzle to direct material
- Cover and protect surrounding areas from sandblasting
- Remove sandblasted material from equipment and clean work areas
- Inspect equipment and work area for safety issues
- Adhere to all safety regulations
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- At least three years of experience in a manufacturing or similar type work environment
- AMPP Certification Required
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work well with other people
- Ability to speak and read English
- Ability to use tape measure and have basic math skills
- Ability to take and follow instruction
- Ability to Stand, Sit or Walk and lift objects for duration of shift
Schedule:
- Monday- Thursday 4x10 (days) 6am-4pm
