Integrity Staffing has an exciting opportunity for a CONTROLLER in the Jeanerette, Louisiana area!

Position Summary: 
This opportunity is with a small, fast-growing company and needs a dynamic, intelligent, and experienced Senior Accountant or Controller to assist in leading the Finance group. The title delineation will be based on employee’s experience and capabilities.  If a candidate is not currently qualified to be the controller, it is expected that the employee will grow into the position during their tenure with the company. The prospective employee will provide support in closing the books, aid in processing accounts payable, assist in tax forecasting, lead ad hoc projects, keep up to date with new rules and regulations, and ensure compliance with debt covenants. They foster an entrepreneurial culture, and the candidate will be expected to be a self-starter and should expect to be very hands-on.

Typical Duties/Responsibilities of Position:

• Manage the accounting team
• Handle and oversee all closing activities
• Transition to percentage completion accounting
• Maintain the integrity of accounting policies
• Create and maintain budgets and conduct variance analysis
• Create financial benchmarks across the company
• Streamline current financial procedures
• Create system of cost management
• Perform P&L and tax forecasting

Qualifications/Experience:

• Requires a bachelor’s degree, or graduate degree, in Finance or Accounting
• Candidate MUST have their CPA
• Must be able to multitask and handle daily interruptions from employees while still making progress on strategic initiatives and daily deliverables
• Prior experience supporting a manufacturing company is a plus
• Requires effective oral and written communications skills
• Possess advanced skills in Excel and intermediate skills in the other Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)

This opportunity is with a leading shipbuilder specializing in the design and production of boats and ships for military, law enforcement, fire rescue, and a wide spectrum of commercial applications. At its facilities, they manufacture vessels in aluminum, steel, and fiberglass, with current capabilities supporting production for vessels up to 250’ in length.  

Salary starts at $125K+
