We have an exciting opportunity for a Powder Coating Line Assembler position in Newport News Virginia!
Job Duties entail but are not limited to:
- Assemble large, complex parts according to work instructions and/or blueprints.
- Install nuts, bolts, rivets etc by hand or with hand tools.
- Apply masking tape, rubber plugs & caps to sheet metal parts, hardware and holes prior to parts being powder coated. Removing caps, plugs & tape after coating has been done.
- Hang parts on conveyor line & remove parts.
- Identify, count, and label parts.
- Package finished parts for shipping.
- Move pallets with pallet jack.
- Load and Unload Powder Coating Conveyor Line of sheet metal fabricated parts.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience
- Must be able to read sheet metal shop blueprints
- Experience assembling complex parts
- Must have experience using power tools
- Ability to identify metric and standard hardware
- Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers as needed
- Must have good basic math skills (addition & subtraction);
- Must be on time to work every day
- Work efficiently with speed and urgency, and attention to detail
- Have strong mechanical skills
- Must be able to take direction well
- Must be able to lift 75-100 lbs, stand, walk, sit, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, reach and perform repetitive hand and finger movements
- Must be able to work in cold or hot temperatures in plant
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday
- 12am-8:30am or 7am-3:30pm
Pay:
- $16-$25/hour based on experience
